Spending a lifetime single is not something most people would choose to do, but fear of being forever single should never be a deciding factor in entering a marriage, lest serious problems go unaddressed before serious commitments are made. I learned that you have to weigh thes things out--is it someone you care enough about to wait for. Wow, every word resonates. I'll bring up some CES letter issues, let her know why I wouldn't want my children raised like this, and we'll see what happens. I have learned this painfully with my child growing up in the LDS community. She went to BYU and did a 2 year mission, but since she was a girl she got to have a car instead of a bicycle. If you and she are sealed in a Mormon temple, your children will be can be sealed to you.
And a happy ChristmaChannuKwanzaKah to everyone. Thirty years ago I converted a guy and then dumped him for a returned missionary from an established LDS family. Tips Mormon girls are much like other girls their age, in that they want guys to respect them and treat them well. We keep getting more and more wedding invitations to our apt and with each one I feel like my dreams float farther and farther away. But I don't know that he does the same for me. He fit me- does that make sense.
They seriously have movies about it. I've been dating my girl for 5 years and we have just broke up because she told me she likes someone else but she say she still loves me I have been married for 8 months, my husband is starting his training in orthopaedics Never imagined my life will be like this The 3 years we were together prior marriage when he was an intern were not like this at all I read all the comments and I can see there no much hope for things to improve Constant absences, constants arguments, I have to make myself available when he is available, I am an architect, I have a demanding job myself, but still beings doctor seems to be a lot more important than my career. You guys sound like you have a great and committed relationship - a true jewel in this world. I don't think anyone here intended a dismissal of the girl as a human being by stating such. She will be oh-so-grateful if you do not pressure her to discard those values.
I know "Meet the Mormons" isn't what I'm looking for I went through a very similar experience earlier this year and the community was extremely helpful. It's unfair to assume that she feels that way without asking her. All of which will remind her that she wants you to convert so you can be together for eternity.
